Purchasing priorities

  • Consistency: Does a lower quote still use the approved body, beads, clasp and finish, or does it price a different set of components?
  • Total cost: What is included for the finished item, assembly, branding, packaging, initial charges and delivery, and which costs are separate or risk being counted twice?
  • Timing: Which approval conditions and delivery plan does this price cover, and is any additional work or transport needed for the required in-hand date identified?

Understand what changes a bulk bag charm quote, what the price includes, and which details make two offers comparable.

A bag charm price depends on the complete product being supplied: its body, decorative pieces, attachment, branding, packaging and quantity per design. A price for the charm body alone cannot be compared directly with a finished, individually packed accessory. Before choosing an offer, establish the assembly and ask which charges sit inside the unit price.

This guide helps brands and retail buyers prepare a batch order. Browse custom bag charm options to identify the product direction, then use the scope checks below to request a price for that specific build.

If you are still choosing between beaded, metal and sewn plush designs, use the bag charm material comparison to narrow the body and attachment direction before defining the quotation.

1. What changes the price, and what is included?

Material is one input. The assembled structure and supply scope also matter. Ask the supplier to identify the proposed specification rather than treating “metal,” “beaded” or “plush” as a complete price category.

Price factors to define before comparing offers
FactorWhat to specifyWhat to clarify in the quote
Body and decorationMaterial, construction, dimensions, finish and decorative componentsThe exact build priced, including any alternative components
Quantity and design splitQuantity for each design and the changes between variantsWhich price and development charges apply to each design
Hardware and assemblyClasp, chain, rings, logo tag and component quantitiesWhether all connecting parts and final assembly are included
Branding and packingLogo treatment and individual retail packWhether printing, packing materials, labels and packing labor are included
Development and deliverySample request, new components and destinationSeparate charges, delivery basis, freight and any excluded costs

Keep recurring product charges separate from existing-sample selection, new custom sampling and any applicable development or tooling charges. Packaging may be included in the unit price or quoted separately; ask which applies. Check sample freight and bulk freight individually. Confirm the currency, delivery basis and treatment of duties or taxes before adding a delivery figure to a product quote.

At Eversun, selecting an existing inspiration-library sample and making a new custom sample are different requests, with fees quoted separately. Reference samples may be free by agreement, with freight paid by the buyer. This does not make every library sample or new custom sample free. Only acrylic and plush custom sampling fees may be refunded or credited under agreed project terms; other materials do not support this refund or credit. Confirm the amount, conditions and timing through Order Samples.

2. Separate an existing style from a new product shape

For bulk bag charms, specify whether you are adding a logo to an existing style or changing the product shape. Eversun’s current minimums distinguish these routes:

Eversun quantity scope to confirm for the project
Project routeMinimum quantity
Existing style with your logo addedCan start from 100 pieces; confirm the selected style and logo scope
Changed shape: printed acrylic100 pieces per design
Changed shape: standard sewn plush1,000 pieces per design
Changed shape: soft PVC2,000 pieces per design

Different designs are not combined to meet one development minimum. For metal, beaded, mixed-material or special constructions, request the applicable minimum and development scope. A custom bag charm quote should list each design, its quantity and any differences in body, hardware or branding. Ask how color and packaging variants are counted.

3. Define bag charm size around the intended bag

Show the bag or attachment point alongside the charm reference. State the main body’s dimensions and the total hanging length from the bag attachment to the lowest component. A chain extension changes the finished drop even when the body stays the same.

Provide front and back artwork, relevant side views, a reference SKU or sample photos, and the file revision. State the weight of a complete assembled sample if it has been measured; otherwise ask the supplier to assess it during sampling. The body weight alone omits the clasp, chain and other decorations. Check whether the proposed assembly fits the intended handle ring or zipper pull and how it rests against the bag.

Send reference files through Upload Artwork. Mark undecided dimensions or details for review.

4. Specify bag charm hardware as an assembled set

A mixed-material charm needs a component list, often called a bill of materials or BOM. List the body, bead strand or decorative pieces, logo tag, chain or cord, connecting rings and clasp, with a quantity for each. Mark the connection positions on the drawing and identify who supplies each component.

For the bag charm clasp, provide a model or clear reference and the opening needed for the intended attachment point. Ask the supplier to confirm the proposed dimensions, finish and movement on a sample. If the clasp or chain is substituted, treat it as an alternative specification. The quote should cover the complete assembly, including joining decorative pieces to hardware, rather than leaving the buyer to infer what is included.

5. Define the logo and bag charm packaging together

Specify whether the logo sits on the body, a separate tag or the packaging. Provide its position, dimensions, artwork and proposed application method for review. A separate branded tag adds a component and a connection to the assembly.

For bag charm packaging, identify the individual pack: OPP bag, backing card, hang tag, barcode label or retail box. Include the pack dimensions, printed sides, artwork revision and SKU allocation where known. Confirm how the assembled charm will be secured or arranged inside it. See packaging options and ask which materials, printing and packing work the price includes.

6. Compare the same revision and keep changes visible

Place the quote beside the specification it prices. Both offers need the same design quantities, complete assembly, logo treatment, packaging and delivery scope. If a supplier proposes a different clasp, finish or pack, label it as an alternative and decide whether that change meets the brief.

  • Identify the version: quote number and date, artwork and BOM revision, quantities per design, currency and quotation validity.
  • Identify the inclusions: finished unit, hardware assembly, logo, individual pack and any agreed checks.
  • Identify separate charges: existing samples, custom sampling, development or tooling where applicable, packaging and delivery. Do not add a charge again if it is included.
  • Identify open points: supplier assumptions, unapproved components and costs awaiting confirmation.

When the artwork, bead combination, hanging length, clasp, logo tag or packaging changes, record the affected fields and request a revised quote. Retain the previous version for comparison. Approve the updated commercial scope alongside the final sample and specification; do not carry an old bag charm price forward to a changed build. The custom keychain quotation guide provides related background on separating development charges across materials.

Put open conditions into the RFQ and schedule

  • If the clasp, beads or packaging change, are the component list, acceptance requirements and quote revision updated together, and which costs or dates still need reconfirmation?
  • Does the required in-hand date involve extra sampling, expedited work or split shipments? If so, are the costs and feasible schedule shown separately alongside the standard option?

7. Send a brief the supplier can price

For custom bag charms, send one specification and quantity entry per design, with the assembled drawing, component list, logo files, packing brief and destination. Choose the sample request separately. Label a target date as a requested date for feasibility review, not an agreed delivery commitment.

Download the blank bag charm RFQ checklist. This is a preparation template; its values are blank. Record unknown items as questions for the supplier, then attach the completed information to your quote request. Ask for assumptions and exclusions in writing so the next comparison uses a clearly defined product and supply scope.
